Robert(Bob) Stewart

I'm 6'4" tall, weigh 175lbs. brown haire (greying), blue eyes.
I'm a common man- I dislike phony people. I tell it like it is, but also, try to keep my cool, so to speak, and I like to live my life by the old saying,"live and let live." I do realize though that that"s getting harder to do.
I am prone to staying busy, (always doing something), mostly outdoors, and usually, very optimistic. I have played music all my life,(since I was 8 Yrs old, that is); owned ,bought ,sold , traded, trained, and rode horses since I was 12, and still do. I love them, and love anything to do with them. I'm retired from the auction business,( I was an auctioneer- that was my main occupation, in my younger days), I have four children, 3 girls and a boy, by my first marriage - and lots of grandchildren.
I was divorced years ago, and remarried. At forty-eight, I learned that I was going to be a "Daddy", again, and although it has been a great ride, (he's 17 yrs of age, now), I did wander around, a day, or two, talking to myself, when I first learned the "good news."
I also, have two step children, a boy and a girl, 22 and 25, respectively,as a result of my 2nd marriage.
The older I get, the more interest I seem to aquire in the politics of our country. I am very much tuned in to our political situation at this point in my life, both here at home as well as abroad. I have great concern for how our president will handle the tremendous mess he inherited. So far, I think he's doing alright,although I think he might have handled the economic mess a little differently than I would have, but then, I'm not the prisident. I think people ( and the republicans) should back off a little, and show more patience,toward him- after all, we didn't get in this mess, overnight, and we'll not get out of it overnight- it's going to take a good long while.
Anyway, enough of that. This is suppose to be a description of myself, and although I got off the subject, a little, it does say a bit about me.
I kearbed abiut this website from a writer, whom I think it is safe to say has become a friend of mine,by the name of Cheri Cabbot- She writes articles for this site,by the way. She goes by Political Chick. Any way, I met her while tweeting on twitter, and learned of Gather from her, on twitter. I logged in one evening to check out this site, and was just absolutely awstruck. This has to be the absolute best site on the entire internet and also, the best group of people, participating; I was so impressed, that I wanted to be part of it, so I signed up, and now, here I am!
